You spent an hour on a post, it did well, and then it vanished into the feed forever. That's not humility — it's waste. Your best ideas deserve more than one shot, and almost no one saw them the first time anyway.
Nobody saw it the first time
On any platform, a fraction of your audience is online when you post. Reach a single post and you touch maybe 5–10% of your followers. Repost it a month later and you're mostly reaching new eyes, not annoying the same ones. Repetition is how ideas actually land.
What counts as evergreen
Not everything should recycle. Good candidates:
- A framework or how-to that doesn't age.
- A strong opinion you still hold.
- A story that always resonates.
Skip anything tied to a date, a trend, or a launch. If it made sense last year, it can run again this year.
Your audience doesn't have your feed memorized. Your greatest hit is a stranger's first encounter.
Recycle without copy-pasting
Don't literally re-paste. Re-angle. Turn a listicle into a single deep point, a thread into a one-liner, a win into a lesson. Same idea, fresh wrapper. This is repurposing across time instead of across platforms.
Build a rotation
Keep a short list of your best evergreen posts and work them back into the queue every couple of months, lightly rewritten. A tool with smart scheduling makes this trivial — slot the proven pieces between new ones so your calendar is never empty and your best ideas never die after one day.
Publishing once and moving on is the most expensive habit in content. Recycle on purpose.
Put this on autopilot.
